GENERAL DESCRIPTION
Potbelly Sandwich Shop, famous for its delightful sandwiches and vibrant atmosphere, is seeking a seasoned Product Owner to join our software engineering team. The Product Owner will be instrumental in driving the development of digital solutions that enhance customer experiences and operational efficiency in the Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) industry.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
* Serve as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and the software engineering team.
* Define, prioritize, and manage the product backlog, aligning with customer needs and business objectives.
* Oversee product release planning and set delivery expectations for new functionalities.
* Employ SCRUM, Agile, and SAFe methodologies to streamline product development processes.
* Collaborate with various teams to shape the product vision and strategy.
* Translate product strategy into detailed requirements and user stories.
* Stay abreast of market trends and competitor strategies in the QSR industry to guide product development.
* Facilitate effective communication and collaboration both within and outside the team.
* Ensure the product aligns with the overall mission and goals of the company.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
* Bachelor's degree.
* Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Product Owner role, specifically in software development within the QSR industry.
* Profound knowledge of SCRUM, Agile, and SAFe methodologies.
* Strong leadership, communication, and collaboration skills.
* Ability to make decisive, pressure-based decisions and prioritize tasks effectively.
* Comprehensive understanding of the product development lifecycle and Agile practices.
* Keen problem-solving abilities and meticulous attention to detail.
* Familiarity with the latest trends in the QSR industry and digital technology advancements.
NICE TO HAVE
* Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or equivalent certification.
* Background in digital transformation initiatives in the QSR or similar industries.
* Prior experience in software development or project management.
