What to Expect

Tesla is actively seeking a Paint Field Technical Specialist to work on one of the most progressive vehicles in the world. In this role, you will provide invaluable Paint technical support to both internal teams and external partners globally.
As a Paint Field Technical Specialist, you will leverage your expertise in Paint application, Color matching, Paint Booth setup, troubleshooting, and Quality control. Your passion for the refinish repair process will be instrumental in driving excellence across all repair aspects. We are seeking an individual who possesses strong critical thinking skills, exceptional communication abilities, and the ability to effectively collaborate with technicians, site leaders, engineers, and senior leadership within TeslaWhat You'll Do

Act as a field-based technical specialist resolving escalations at both Tesla Approved Collision Centers and Tesla Collision Centers.
Identify root causes of field issues and communicate findings effectively to engineering teams
Address Collision Center concerns promptly and with utmost attention; respond to Toolbox cases, emails, and phone calls
Conduct training sessions and implement quality assurance activities to continuously enhance customer satisfaction
Regularly generate detailed reports summarizing activities and key findings
Utilize a range of hand, power, and shop tools proficiently; adhere to all Tesla safety rules, guidelines, and standards
Travel up to 50% as required by business needsWhat You'll Bring

Certificate from vocational school in Collision and Paint and 10 years industry experience preferred
Expertise in Collision Center production refinishing application, paint production optimization, 2 and 3 stage colors, paint booth operation, paint defect troubleshooting, color tinting, and blending
Proficiency in written and spoken English; strong communication skills
Strong computer skills - Microsoft office and cloud applications
Ability to work independently in limited supervision environment and maintain a high level of confidentiality
Ability to travel locally and nationally to support program needs
Must be at least 18 years of age; capable of lifting 50 lbs. and driving a forklift
