Job Summary:
Manage an operations and engineering staff responsible for university-wide data, wireless, video and voice (VoIP) transport services. Responsible for day-to-day operational performance of the IP network and supporting network and information security services. Provides strategic direction and leads in planning, development, implementation, and support of existing and new services related to data networking, network automation/orchestration software development, and information security infrastructure.
Specific Responsibilities:
Strategic Planning
- Directs the evaluation of new and emerging technologies.
- Oversees design, installation, and support of a stable, scalable, cost-effective, state-of-the-art network for university-wide data, wireless, video and voice (VOIP) transport needs.
- Design & Implementation
- Manage end-to-end design and implementation of NU's distribution of voice, data, video, and converged communications services.
- Develops short and long-term strategies for existing and new services.
- Leads planning and implemention
