Job Description
Insight Global is looking for an IT Manger to support a local Park District. The IT Manager is responsible for all aspects of District-wide technology and telecommunications, including both strategic and day-to-day operations. This person will be accountable for ensuring continuity of computer, technology and telecommunication services for users throughout the organization through planning, technical leadership, and project coordination. This person will oversee and maintain the organization’s technology network including:
- Security
o Capacity planning
o Scheduled maintenance and replacement
o Internal web hosting
o Network administration, and
o Documentation
- Consults with other facilities and management in order to understand, recommend and implement technology solutions (involving both hardware and software) to meet their business needs
- Works with outside consultants and vendors on purchases of equipment or services, system upgrades, testing and problem resolution
- Installs hardware
- Installs software
- Provides support to all end-users of technology, sets priorities and maintains on-going communication with users on status of work requests and system changes
- Performs surveys of existing telephone equipment, systems, and service plans and makes recommendations to improve service and reduce costs

Skills and Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent strongly desired.
- 3-5 years relevant technical work experience
- Prior management experience in an IT environment – Professional certification(s) and/or active membership in a professional association desirable null
