Adecco has partnered with a leading site access solutions company in Joliet IL. They are looking for their next Estimator who can help with their power generation industry (electrical, gas, etc.)

Job Title: Estimator

Position Summary:

The Estimator plays a pivotal role in our organization by ensuring the timely and accurate preparation of cost estimates and bids, facilitating bid processes, and fostering effective communication with internal and external stakeholders. This role demands a deep understanding of our products and services, industry standards, and a commitment to achieving our company’s vision and mission.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Customer Engagement: Responsively handle customer Requests for Quotation (RFQs), ensuring thorough qualification, bid strategy development, and clear communication with customers to gather necessary project information.

+ Bid Management: Efficiently manage RFQs, cost estimates, bids, and bid reviews, adhering to ECS policies and procedures. Ensure timely delivery to enhance our chances of securing orders.

+ Collaboration: Collaborate closely with the Lead Estimator, Sales, and ECS stakeholders to develop effective bid strategies, analyze project data, and confirm Scope of Supply.

+ Documentation: Create organized project folders, maintain CRM records, and prepare various Bid Package documents. Ensure the customer’s receipt of the Bid Package and follow up until award issuance.

+ Environmental Review: Collaborate with the Environmental Manager for required environmental reviews.

+ Post-Bid Review: Facilitate post-bid reviews in the event of losing a strategic bid to extract valuable insights.

+ Continuous Improvement: Actively pursue efficiency and effectiveness improvements within the scope of responsibility.

+ Qualifications and Skills:

+ Demonstrated alignment with our client’s Values and Business Code of Conduct & Ethics.

+ Positive and collaborative attitude with strong teamwork skills.

+ Self-motivated and adaptable, capable of working independently.

+ Proficient in MS Office and specialized software systems for cost estimation.

+ Excellent data interpretation, organization, and communication skills.

+ Knowledge of construction methods, materials, safety, and field operations.

+ Strong record-keeping ability.

+ Effective English communication skills, both oral and written.

+ Preferred: BS degree in Business Management, Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.

+ Minimum 3 years of estimating experience in construction or a related field.

+ Preferred certifications: OSHA 10, CPR/First Aid.

+ Must have a valid Driver’s License and a clean driving record.

Working Conditions:

+ Up to 25% travel may be required.

+ Typically, work is conducted in an indoor office environment.

+ Overtime or weekend work may be necessary to meet departmental needs.

Physical Demands:

+ Regular use of hands and fingers for handling tools and controls.

+ Frequent standing, talking, and hearing.

+ Occasional walking, sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, and crouching.

+ Frequent lifting or moving of objects up to 10 pounds, occasionally up to 25 pounds.

+ Specific vision requirements include close and distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

+ Must be able to access all levels of construction sites, yards, traverse uneven terrain, enter and exit equipment.

Pay Details: $80,000.00 to $115,000.00 per year
