About the team

Our Facilities team is responsible for creating a safe, clean, comfortable, and welcoming workplace to ensure that each business unit residing within the space can focus on their operational goals.

What you will be doing

Supervises facility staff and services at multiple locations within the Chicago metro area. Plans, budgets, and schedules facility operations including estimating related costs. Implements and maintains monthly reporting for all financial tracking and related activities within the facilities department. Oversees the coordination of building space allocation and layout, communication, and delivery of facility services in accordance with policies and procedures. Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function. Creating partnerships with Human Resources, Physical Security, IT and Production Operations is key.

Accountabilities:
Manages and directs all facilities activities to achieve organizational goals.
Trains staff on office administrative procedures and policies to ensure compliance with safety regulations and company SOPs.
Oversees bidding and managing external vendor relationships.
Serves as a liaison with Project Managers, Business Managers, and company staff regarding space planning and building maintenance concerns.
Supports performance management and professional development of direct reports, including ongoing feedback, coaching, and career support.
Supervises facility services, mailroom operations and reception services staff.
Liaison with property management at Leased facility to maintain good relations and high level of services.
Provide monthly/quarterly/annual reporting, track variances and ensure smooth recovery process within established targets.
Achieve cost savings through maximizing utilization of suppliers and preferred vendors/contractors and by identifying additional efficiency opportunities, consistent with goals.
Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

What you bring:
5-10 years of facilities management experience
Excellent oral and written communication skills. Build strong relationships with management, employees, vendors, and affiliates
Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
Demonstrated project and technical leadership skills
Experience with working with contractors.
Manages staff to meet departmental and organizational goals.
Accounts for the budget, methods, and training of staff to achieve results.
Develops and recommends solutions to meet internal and external needs of the company and department.
Driver's license required to drive to locations.
Experience with working with contractors.

Added bonus if you have:
Bachelor's Degree or international equivalent in Business Administration or Related Field.
IFMA CFM - Certified Facility Manager recognition from International Facilities Management Association
