Position: Senior Financial Analyst - Corporate FP&A
Location: 3040 Salt Creek Lane, Arlington Heights IL
Full Time
Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm
Hybrid Schedule: Onsite Weds, Thurs, +1 choice day - 2 days remote

General Summary:
Builds strong relationships throughout Endeavor Health and provides moderately to highly complex support for operational teams. Serves as a subject matter expert to Leadership while providing expert advice on financial matters. Learns and utilizes all key financial systems. Provides guidance and training to analysts and others within the organization on financial analysis, data extraction techniques, budgetary considerations, and recommends best practices on pulling, refining, and analyzing data. This position will increase the flow of information across the organization by identifying opportunities to build standardized reports and dashboards. Supports and interacts with leaders and senior management using key analysis and recommendations, as well as ad hoc reporting. Conducts and leads special projects and ad hoc requests for Finance leadership.

Primary Responsibilities:

Analytical & Budget Responsibilities:
Leads the distribution of data and reports across the System. Meets with various departments to educate, explain, and discuss opportunities for improvement, and ensures integrity of the data.
Develops complex financial models and analysis to support decision making related to complex business issues and present the results. Assists management in using and interpreting financial information to make decisions. Also finds solutions to data needs that will aid in the decision-making process.
Builds strong relationships across the System, including senior management. Effectively uses information to provide analysis and recommendations that strengthen these relationships and ultimately improve operational performance.
Partners with department leaders to develop and support initiatives using financial information and key analysis.
Supports, trains, and helps build the annual plan. Participates in approval process by providing technical data, analytical and ad hoc analyses as requested. Maintains a thorough working knowledge of the process to be able to explain variances and respond to inquiries. Ensures needed updates are tested and implemented correctly.
Serves as a liaison and subject matter expert with operational managers to advise on projects, cash flows and related financial matters.
Prepares and delivers various written and/or financial reports/presentations for analysis and projects to management.

Financial Systems and Reporting Responsibilities:
Learns, utilizes, and coaches others on key financial systems. Actively involved in the implementation of new systems and ensures all reporting needs and functionality are incorporated. Ensures the integrity of these financial systems is accurate and updated on a timely basis.
Provides guidance and training to analysts on financial modeling, data extraction techniques, budgetary considerations, and recommends best practices on pulling and refining data.
Effectively uses databases to gather, sort and extract data necessary for the proper tracking of key initiatives.
Provides reporting to help explain variances. Works diligently with departments to review and understand their variances and prepare an action plan.
Leads the distribution of standardized reports to aid in the overall understanding and assessment of business performance. Seeks out opportunities to build dashboards for senior management that give daily, weekly, quarterly and annual views of key operational statistics.
Prepares ad hoc reporting, using financial, statistical, or patient visit data sources. Provides technical and informational assistance, as well as guidance, to others on the use of these sources.
