Robert Half is hiring for an Employee Relations Manager. In this pivotal role, you’ll oversee moderately complex employee relations cases, employing both independent problem-solving skills and collaborative efforts with your team, HR Business Partners, legal counsel, and other key stakeholders. You’ll tackle cases that might involve a range of complexities, such as multiple staff members, organizational risk, high-level personnel, or interaction with external investigative bodies. Your expertise will allow you to identify risks and work closely with experienced team members to strategize and resolve issues effectively.

Requirements

This hybrid position calls for a professional capable of:

+ Conducting confidential inquiries into allegations of misconduct, ensuring investigations are thorough, legally compliant, and aligned with company values.

+ Managing the end-to-end process of Compliance Hotline/Speak Up cases, from initial investigation to resolution, while maintaining detailed documentation.

+ Facilitating terminations, crafting and delivering termination documentation, and guiding business management through employee relations best practices.

+ Partnering with legal counsel on employment law matters, ensuring business decisions minimize risk while achieving objectives.

+ Engaging in labor relations, including grievance resolution, in unionized settings, fostering positive relationships with unions or Works Councils.

The role also encompasses managing medical accommodations, guiding corrective actions and performance improvement plans, and participating in HR/ER-related special projects.

What you bring to the table:

+ A Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management, Organizational Psychology, Business, or a related field, with SHRM certification being a plus.

+ 3 – 5 years of experience in HR Generalist or Employee Relations roles within dynamic, global organizations.

+ Proven track record in handling investigations and navigating complex employee relations with discretion.

+ Comprehensive knowledge of HR processes and employment laws at the county/regional level.

+ Proficiency in HRIS systems and case management software.

+ Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to manage sensitive information confidentially.

+ A commitment to high performance, customer focus, and the ability to influence and build strong relationships.

The position requires the ability to make impactful decisions, occasional overnight travel, and adaptability in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions.
