(Database Architecture)

Job Type: Full Time
Duties: Collaborate
with system architects, software architects, data analysts and Program Managers
to understand business requirements. Develop data models, meta data tables,
views or related database structures on Cloud technologies (Python,Redshift,S3
data lake). Design applications, interfaces, data transfer mechanisms, global
temporary tables, data partitions and function-based indexes to enable efficient
access of the data. Provide technical support to other team members and client
stakeholders. Develop methods for integrating different components of the data
solutions that serve interconnected businesses, so they work proper together.
Develop Cloud Data and Analytics solutions. Develop data models describing data
elements and how they are used and perform development activities using the
appropriate data mapping techniques. Review project requests describing user
needs to estimate time and cost required to accomplish project. Participate in
development of cloud data warehouses, data as service, business intelligence
and machine learning solutions (AWS Glue, Data Warehouse, data models). Write
and code logical and physical database descriptions and specify identifiers of
database to management system or direct others in coding descriptions. Utilize
experience with Cloud: AWS, Azure; Databases: Oracle, MSSQL, Netezza/PDA (Pure
Data Analytics); Version Control Tools: Github; Methodologies: Agile,
Waterfall; Services and Support Tools: Service Now; Design and Architecture
Tools: Microsoft Visio, Lucidchart; Languages: PL/SQL, Shell scripting, YAML,
T-SQL; Operating Systems: Linux, Windows; Data Analytic Tools: Python, Tableau;
Development Tools: Visual Studio Code, Jira.
Requirements: Employer will accept a Bachelor-s degree in Computer
Science, Engineering, Business or related field and 5 years of experience in
the job offered or Database Architecture-related occupation.
Alternatively, employer will
accept a Master-s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business or related
field and 3 years of experience in the job offered or Database Architecture-related
occupation.
Experience must include one year
of experience with each of the following skills:
1. Cloud: AWS, Azure
2. Databases: Oracle, MSSQL, Netezza/PDA (Pure Data Analytics)
3. Version Control Tools: Github
4. Methodologies: Agile, Waterfall
5. Services and Support Tools: Service Now
6. Design and Architecture Tools: Microsoft Visio, Lucidchart
7. Languages: PL/SQL, Shell scripting, YAML, T-SQL
