Job Description

Our client, large pharmaceuticals manufacturing organization, is seeking a Project Engineer to join their team. As a Project Engineer, you will be part of the Engineering Department supporting capital projects. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership, project management, and technical skills that align successfully with the organization’s goals.

Location: Round Lake, IL. ONSITE.

Duration: 12 months with the possibility of extension/conversion

Job Title: Project Engineer

What’s the Job?

1. Manage capital facilities projects by drafting Scope of Work (SOW) or User Requirements, leading design reviews, and overseeing execution.

2. Monitor construction activities to ensure quality and cost goals are met.

3. Implement, administer, and control project documentation in narrative and drawing formats.

4. Collaborate with suppliers, challenging them on timelines and technical aspects.

5. Develop and maintain project schedules to ensure timely completion using tools like MS Project, Smartsheet, or Excel.

What’s Needed?

1. Bachelor’s degree in a related engineering discipline and 5+ years of capital project engineering experience.

2. Proficiency in project management, contractor coordination, and task execution.

3. Demonstrated success in managing diverse activities and strong leadership skills.

4. Ability to organize and present technical and project management overviews independently.

5. Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills, capable of working effectively in a matrixed, team environment.
