Location: Edward Hospital, Naperville, IL
Part Time
Hours: 7a to 5p Monday-FridayWhat you will need:Required Education, Experience and/or Skills:
High School Diploma or GED Preferred Education, Experience and/or Skills:
Graduate of an accredited Cardiac Sonography or Echo SchoolRequired License/Certification: Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) from American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) from Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) within twelve months of position start date. Current CPR Certification issued by either American Heart Association or Red CrossGENERAL SUMMARY:Under general supervision, obtains two-dimensional ultrasonic images of the heart including 2D echocardiograms, 2D Doppler echocardiograms, and stress echocardiograms and assists physicians in conducting transesophageal echocardiograms. In doing so, obtains pertinent patient data for interpretation by a board certified cardiologist, explains purpose and duration of testing to the patient in order to allay fears, and provides excellent customer service. Obtains ultrasonic images from patients with complex health issues, and precepts students from the Echocardiography School.Benefits:
