Job Description

Hospitalist. Responsible for examination of patients for symptoms of organic or congenital disorders; determination of the nature and extent of the disease or injury; diagnosis and treatment of diseases and injuries to the human internal organ systems; and referral of patients to specialists, when required. Establish and maintain primary attending responsibility for inpatient general internal medicine services when scheduled. Perform internal medicine consultations and admissions. Provide care for patients with regards to evidence based medicine/utilization of order sets. Medical degree or foreign equivalent in Medicine or related field plus eligibility for a State of Illinois medical license. Completion of a 3-year Internal Medicine or Family Medicine Residency. Work schedule is 7 days on, 7 days off and varies from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. or 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. as needed. Silvis, Illinois job.
