Job Description

CDW Technologies LLC seeks a Senior Business Analyst to perform the following duties:

• Responsible for the design and development of reporting and other analysis of key business indicators to support Service Solution business intelligence needs.
• Serve as the central authority for the creation, distribution and presentation of those reports on regular intervals and assist business leaders in a variety of other decision-support and strategic-planning projects.
• Work with business leaders to align services reporting practices around a consistent set of financial and operational measurements.
• Build and deploy consolidated reporting around those measurements.
• Routinely prepare, analyze, publish and deliver business performance presentations to business leaders including financial and operational results.
• Lead and report on monthly services forecasting exercises for all services teams.
• Participate in formal and informal business planning activities including yearly goal setting and resource and compensation analysis.
• Work with business leaders and other stakeholders to solve complex issues by analyzing the problem and creating clear and actionable steps to drive resolution.
• Provide insight and analysis to business leaders on strategic initiatives and projects.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to clarify, prioritize and validate project requirements and business objectives.
• Work with IT and other internal teams to educate and mentor them on Services’ reporting process and requirements; oversee projects to automate such reports.
• Assist business partners with quantitative and qualitative analysis to help justify the investment necessary to deliver a solution.
• Develop strong internal relationships with key stakeholders and subject-matter experts across the organization.
• Assist business partners with assessing organizational readiness for change.
• Draw upon technology strategy to provide a structure for evaluating solution options.
• Serve as the thought leader to help define business processes, system usage, behavior and information requirement needs.
• Decompose business problems quickly and determine the root cause and provide solution alternatives.
• Maintain an enterprise view of processes and tools to solve complex issues through creativity and innovation.

• Utilize a variety to tools and technologies including requirements gathering software, data mining tools, Excel, Cognos, PowerBI, ProClarity, SQL Server, Tableau, Python and Microsoft Office applications.
• Design and maintain Power BI dashboards from financial, Key Performance Indicator (KPI) and service billing data to provide business performance reports. Perform analysis that requires gathering data from various disparate data sources to achieve desired business outcomes.
• Perform quantitative and qualitative analysis to justify the investment necessary to deliver a solution that assists Product Managers in ongoing product development including developing business cases, writing product documentation, assisting with cost and pricing analysis, and providing other support as directed.
• Utilize advanced modeling techniques to develop high-level system narratives, presentations, storyboards, use cases and user interface prototypes to develop business cases for new service development.
• Identify scope of services, customers, and devices/instances that are impacted by the retirement by querying CDW systems to determine the exposure, impact and scope of service retirement.
• Design, maintain and document processes, workflows and reports for the Wrike service development project management system.
• Perform market research, demand forecasting, and competitive analysis as directed by Product Management team and gather product KPIs for business.

The job is based out of CDW’s Vernon Hills, IL headquarters but the employee may work remotely from anywhere in the U.S.
