Job Description

Job Summary:
Provide expert advice on the four Phases of the Joint Training Program. Support USTRANSCOM in the establishment, revision, and execution of a comprehensive, organization-wide Joint Training Program.
Provide administrative and development support to USTRANSCOM policy, plans, procedures, actions, and milestones necessary to manage the Joint Training Program. Support the determination of USTRANSCOM’s
joint training requirements, including the: analysis of training assessments and lessons learned, review of Joint Mission Essential Tasks, development and/or analysis of training guidance, review of applicable joint doctrine,
review of Campaign Plans, review of standard operating procedures and examination of applicable strategic guidance. Assist with the development of the Joint Training Plan to include revising the Commander’s Training
Guidance, reviewing training requirements, developing training objectives, determining method and mode to meet each training objective and scheduling planned joint training events. Support Joint Exercise Planning and
Control Groups for command post exercises to include academics or pathway event coordination, Joint Training Information Management System support, collection management plans and assessment plan development.
Ensure Task Performance Observations and Training Proficiency Evaluations are captured for training objectives for exercises and assist with the training of Observers throughout the Joint Event Life Cycle. Provide support to
USTRANSCOM to assess the joint training impact on warfighting readiness. Assist in the review of observations made on training conducted and performance during actual operations and day-to-day activities. Assist in the development, updating, and reporting of Command performance measures/indicators/metrics and annual reports.

Requirements
Must be a U.S. citizen and eligible for a U.S. passport
Must possess a secret clearance (minimum) and meet eligibility requirements for Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI)
Three years of Joint experience or two years of Joint Training experience at the Combatant Command level
Eight years of experience as a commissioned officer, non-commissioned officer or DoD civilian equivalent including 5 years in planning and conducting military training
Experience in planning and executing joint training within the Joint Training System, joint training procedures and manuals
Experience and proficiency with development, design and assessment of exercise and training objectives
Experience and proficiency in one or more of the following: Joint Training Information Management System (JTIMS), Defense Readiness Reporting System, Joint Lessons Learned Information System, Operational Assessments, Joint Mission
Essential Tasks, Exercise Scenario design, Models and Simulations
Demonstrated ability to develop, assess, adjust and execute plans
Experience in Joint Event Life Cycle events, Universal Joint Task List and Master Scenario Event List processes desired
Ability to organize and complete assignments according to established standards regarding clarity, conciseness, style and terminology
Skilled in all aspects of communications for briefings, presentations and classroom instructions
Skilled in the use of Microsoft Office presentation, word processing, spreadsheet and collaboration applications
Must be able to travel unassisted to CONUS and oversees locations to perform job duties
Bachelor's degree required (service experience may substitute)
Graduate of an intermediate Service School desired
