Position Overview
We are currently seeking an Epic Optime Analyst for the HIT department located atour corporate office in Skokie, IL. This is a full-time position and is benefits eligible. Hours will be scheduled during regular business hours, Monday through Friday.
The candidate will be supporting Epic products including: Anesthesia and OpTime, in addition to some third-party vendors that interact with these applications, e.g. Capsule, Sterile Processing Software to name a couple. Mostly working remotely but available to provide on-site support as needed.
This is an integrated team working with other OpTime/Anesthesia analysts in our other IT locations.

Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
Work closely the Perioperative, Interventional and Endoscopy departments to optimize current workflows & implement new ones
Be part of a team that supports several Epic modules and other integrated applications & technologies.
Work closely with physicians and nurses and other hospital staff, both clinical and non-clinical users, to write reports and optimize workflows.
Serve as an Epic Subject Matter Expert (SME), primary support contact & bridge communication between users and Epic technical support
Analyze, build, test, implement and support the Anesthesia and OpTime Applications
Lead and/or participate in projects related to the optimization of clinical workflows
Design and document application changes and new features or defects in application area assigned.
Prioritize, review and respond to user requests and participate in user meetings.
Recommend application improvements.
Train less experienced personnel on applications.
Provide application support to other teams.
Complete any other applicable requests from management.
Perform extensive application testing and data analysis.
Participate in the on-call schedule, typically 1 week per month depending on staff availability and needs of the organization.

Qualifications
Our ideal candidate will have:
4 year college degree in computer science/information systems preferred or equivalent experience.
6+ years Information Technology experience preferred.
Extensive experience with Optime and other surgical applications
Able to communicate and translate complex technical terms into understandable simple terms for all customer groups.
Must be able to work independently and in a team setting, possess good verbal, written & customer service skills.
Utilizes effective analytical and troubleshooting skills with minimum to moderate assistance.
Epic Optime Certification required; additional certifications preferred.
Must be flexible to provide on-call support.
