Application Engineer; Roselle, IL

Job Responsibilities:- Respond timely to all customer inquiries, which include requests for quotes, product information, and technical support.
- Work closely with Engineering, Inside Sales, Outside Sales, and our manufacturing representatives to assist in growing and retaining customer business.
- Assist the Business Development Specialists with our Northern Illinois customer base.
- Develop and maintain relationships with assigned suppliers.
- Apply product knowledge appropriately by suggesting application solutions.
- Provide Gold Medal customer service to internal and external customers.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Associate’s degree or Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field is desired.
- Experience in industrial automation products including PLCs, AC Drives, Motion, Sensing, and HMIs is preferred.
- Experience in distribution or working knowledge of industrial automation and controls is preferred.
- Must possess the desire to learn the industrial automation business with a leading wholesale electrical distributor.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers and associates within the organization.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and personal transportation for customer visits.
- 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM CST, Monday – Friday
