Job Description

Dover Precision Components is hiring a Production Planner for our Inpro/Seal business. We are a world leader in the design and manufacture ofandfor a variety of rotating equipment across.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
The Production Planner will work cross-functionally to create and manage production plans. This will include coordinating, forecasting, production scheduling, and communicating with plant operations. You will:
Interface with various cross-functional departments to meet customer demands and advise on delays/issues.
Analyze the forecast and manufacturing capacity constraints to determine potential for smoothing the production plan.
Utilize MS Excel, including formulas, linking, pivot tables to develop and manage production schedules.
Release materials needed on orders from stock room or staging areas.
Meet delivery schedules by understanding order flow throughout shop and adjusting schedules and routings as required.
Work with open order report to ensure schedules are maintained and communicate when changes occur with other interested parties.
Print, assemble, and deliver job packets to designated value stream.
Close job orders daily.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING
3+ years' experience in manufacturing and/or demand planning experience required.
Strong MS Office skills, including MS Excel.
Strong communication skills and ability to proactively manage cross-functional relationships.
Demonstrated strong sense of urgency and ability to work in a changing and fast-paced environment.

ALSO GREAT IF YOU BRING/ PREFERENCES
Associate or bachelor's degree in supply chain, logistics, or related field.
MRP system experience, including Syteline.
Ability to work 1st Shift Hours, starting at 6:30am.
Mechanical aptitude to learn the technical nature of the business.
Production planning experience in a fast-paced environment.
Experience working on a manufacturing floor.
