Grant Thornton is seeking a Transaction Management Director to join our team in Atlanta, GA. As a Transaction Management Director, you’ll help organizations clients solve their toughest problems and develop value creation strategies that result in real impact for the Transaction Advisory Practice – all with the resources, environment, and support to help you excel.

We support our clients in all aspects of their business cycle – whether you’re looking at a transaction to propel your company forward, focusing on developing and implementing the right controls to mitigate risk, or advancing your company’s finance and technology infrastructure to match your aspirations.

From day one, you’ll be empowered by the greater Transaction Management team to help clients make the moves that will help them achieve their vision and help you achieve more, confidently.

Your day-to-day may include:

+ Work as part of a cross functional leadership team to manage, execute and deliver services for integration & separation including integration and/or separation planning efforts to private equity and strategic buyers

+ Serve as an advisor to our clients in support of their strategic initiatives in a transaction which includes rapidly assessing the operating model while identifying key areas of risk and quantifying the efforts to remediate as they relate to the client’s proposed investment thesis

+ Ability to deliver our services including the development high quality value driven reports and financial models (synergies/dis-synergies, standalone, one-time, stranded costs) based on the impacts from a transaction

+ Support our clients through the transaction life cycle from diligence through Transition Service Agreements and Day 1/90 planning as they navigate the complexities of integration or separation

+ Perform detailed analysis to identify opportunities for improvement and documenting conclusions

+ Assist practice leadership in creating proposals, budgets, and work plans. Participate in other business development activities as appropriate

+ Assist in training sessions on for best practices using integration and separation tools to deliver solutions

+ Assisting buy and sell-side work-streams as part of a transaction management office

+ Utilizing various data collection techniques, selecting appropriate method and prioritization to fit project objectives and deliverables, and applying established analytical models to evaluate data, costs, and benefits

+ Assisting in strategic planning that integrates multiple client organizations including finance, marketing, IT, HR, Supply Chain and supports the organization’s strategy and operational plans

+ Lead and support business development activities, such as identification, proposal development and other pursuit activities at clients

+ Serve as a coach and mentor to staff and senior associates in support of their professional development

+ Meeting or exceeding targeted billing hours (utilization)

+ Other duties as assigned

You have the following technical skills and qualifications:

+ Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Operations, Marketing, MIS or similar required, MBA preferred

+ Minimum 10 years of related work experience in management consulting experience or equivalent from corporate development and strategy function required

+ Industry recognized professional certifications required, PMI/PMP, MA&P, CPMI preferred

+ Experience leading integration and separation work-streams

+ Demonstrated new business development experience

+ Must be able to demonstrate creative problem-solving skills, critical thinking aptitude, and experience with data modeling and/or process mapping

+ Strong communication and interpersonal skills with experience working in cross-functional teams

+ Effective project and time management skills for handling multiple priorities and simultaneous projects

+ Can travel as needed

The base salary range for this position in the firm’s Los Angeles, CA office is between $202,500 and $337,500.

The base salary range for this position in the firm’s San Francisco, CA office is between $215,600 and $359,400.

The base salary range for this position in New York only is between $202,500 and $337,500.
