Vernon, IL location is seeking a highly self-motivated and detail-oriented QA Metrologist to join our group. The ideal candidate has excellent communication skills, is dependable and accountable.

THE POSITION

Responsible for the definition, implementation, and control of the metrology process in compliance with TS 16949, associated reference manuals, ISO 17025, and other internal, regulatory or customer requirements for the PLT, TT and PCT plants.

1. Definition and implementation of all calibration methods (For internally performed calibrations)

2. Definition and review of calibration frequencies (Using the prescribed methodologies)

3. Co-ordinate, execute, and follow up of required calibrations (Internal and external)

4. Upkeep and protection of plant NIST traceable standards and plant calibration lab

5. Coordination, scheduling and review of MSA studies, including necessary improvement action plans

6. Maintain calibration and MSA records

7. Establishment of the work schedule for calibration technicians

8. Document control of all laboratory records

9. Support audit function for external and internal audits; qualified as Lead Auditor for plant internal audits

10. Improvement of metrology methods for efficiency and costs

11. Assist maintenance with issues associated with proper calibration of machinery

12. Oversee maintenance technicians during shutdown calibrations

13. Manage engineering projects associated with metrology including planning, development of CRs, quotations, contractors, overall project management to timeline and budget.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelors Degree in Technical Field

Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. Continental is not able to offer visa support

Preferred Qualifications:

3+ years experience with QA Management Systems

3+ years experience in Manufacturing

Leadership experience
