Job Description
The Office of Public Works, Oak Ridge Cemetery Division is seeking individuals to perform grounds maintenance at the cemetery. Maintenance work will consist of string trimming, decoration removal, limb pick-up, raking, and other duties as assigned. This position requires knowledge, skill, and the ability to safely use and operate maintenance tools and equipment. The preferred candidate would be someone who is physically capable of working outside in all weather conditions in a physically active manner, can perform manual tasks for extended periods of time, ability to work well independently and in a team environment, and has a positive attitude and great work ethic. Hours are Monday through Friday, 7:00am – 3:00pm. Seasonal employment is possible April through November. Employment will not exceed six months. Pre-employment background and drug screen are required.
