Primary Purpose

The Senior Cybersecurity Analyst is key member of IT team engaging with business, functional and technical teams to manage day-to-day operations of security information systems of Pregis (Global manufacturing organization). This role is tasked with providing technical expertise in all areas of networks, systems, and application security. This role will ensure that IT systems are designed, deployed, and managed with focus on cybersecurity and risk management. The position will report to Vice President of Information Technology.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Proactively monitor the environment to detect and implement steps to mitigate cyber-attacks before they occur.
Provides technical expertise regarding security-related concepts to operational teams within the Information Technology Department and the business.
Review, investigate, and respond to real-time alerts within the environment.
Establish security controls and review real-time and historical reports for security and/or compliance violations.
Monitor online security-related resources for new and emerging cyber threats.
Installing and utilizing data encryption programs, firewalls, and other software to safeguard corporate data and protected information
Lead the projects related to application and network security to strive for Zero Trust architecture.
Conducting tests on systems regularly to simulate attacks, identifying areas of vulnerability.
Developing policies, processes, and standards to keep corporate systems safe, including cyber security procedures and cyber security awareness training for employees.
Preparing and creating regular reports for documenting process implementations, improvements, and security breaches.
Assesses new security technologies to determine potential value for the enterprise. Continuous education and research into new and emergent cyberattack methodologies.
Develop, maintain, and manage policies and plans related to cybersecurity in compliance with information security governance model.
Participates in information security risk assessments of vendors, customers and other third party service providers
Provides technical guidance on security best practices to network and application development teams.

Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in data science, engineering, computer science or related field or equivalent industry training and certifications.
Four or more years of experience as a security analyst or related position.
Deep understanding of Zero Trust architecture with experience implementing and / or supporting such setup in large scale multi location enterprise environment.
Thorough understanding of Microsoft's enterprise technology platform, including Azure, Active Directory, SAP, SQL, Microsoft 365, and the Windows server and desktop operating systems.
Working experience with the following technology vendors and products: Splunk, Palo Alto Firewalls, Zero Trust Network Access, Zscaler, Windows Defender, Kaspersky, ESET, KnowBe4 and Azure AD.
Proficiency with Windows PowerShell.
Strong writing skills, as well as the ability to articulate security-related concepts to a broad range of technical and non-technical staff.
Working experience with creating, implementing, and managing a threat hunting program within a corporate environment.
Demonstrated experience implementing and/or enforcing security and compliance frameworks such as NIST, COBIT, and ISO is desired.
