Communications Coordinator

A leading automotive technology and digital marketing solutions company has an immediate need for a dedicated and enthusiastic, full-time Communications Coordinator (CC) to join its team.

The Communications Coordinator’s responsibilities will include managing public perception of the company through the creation of marketing and communication materials. The CC will help modernize communications, including how information is presented, developed, produced, and distributed, in alignment with the company’s initiatives.

The Communications Coordinator will partner with business stakeholders, customers, and automotive industry influencers to provide strategic communications that drive corporate strategy and business priorities through a broad suite of client and partner communications.

Job Responsibilities:

+ Execute a multi-channel communications strategy that projects a positive company image to the public

+ Prepare and manage all communications material

+ Develop the company’s brand voice and maintain brand integrity across all platforms

+ Manage media relations and develop contacts with media members, influencers, and industry leaders

+ Prepare and manage all applications for industry awards and speaking opportunities

Requirements and skills

+ Experience writing for newspapers or news websites, article submissions, press releases, publicity, radio spots, blogs, etc. is preferred

+ Strong understanding of automotive services is preferred, but not required

+ Ability to work independently and in accordance with deadlines

+ Strong organizational, communication, analytical, and planning skills

+ Demonstrated knowledge and proficiency with communications technologies

+ Understand principles of copywriting and publishing

+ Familiarity with social media platforms and social media marketing

+ Impeccable copywriting and copy editing abilities

+ Excellent planner and time manager who is not afraid of a challenge or taking on a new task in a fast-paced environment

+ Strong interpersonal skills

+ Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications, marketing, or a related discipline is preferred

This is a hybrid position, requiring a minimum of 3 days per week in-office at either the company’s headquarters in Lisle, IL, or our office in Phoenix, AZ.
