About the Position: The incumbent will provide primary executive support to the SES Director of JDPAC, a joint organization including TEA and TCAC. Responsibilities Manage the operating schedules of the Senior Executive Service (SES) Director for a joint matrix organization. Serve as the alternate Billing Official managing proper execution of the Government Purchase Card (GPC) program. Serve as lead task manager ensuring tasks are received, assigned, and closed appropriately to meet tasking suspense dates. Serve as a trusted advisor to leadership on area of expertise. Serve as executive administrative team lead coordinating with administrative staff and/or executive officers on a wide variety of technical and administrative issues. Utilize modern office automation systems such as electronic mail/calendaring systems and various software packages to design, create, and sustain the administrative functions associated with an executive level complex organization. Responsible for front-office administration, serving as an element of continuity to ensure standard and administrative procedures support mission objectives. Complete all necessary travel arrangements for the senior leader travel schedules. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience in the Federal service which includes: (1) Facilitating administrative and management tasks such as, scheduling calendar commitments, preparing senior leader travel arrangements, reviewing sensitive and/or confidential correspondence, providing support, and/or coordinating Joint level engagements for Senior Leaders; and/or (2) Utilizing computers in order to prepare documents/reports, provide agendas, track suspense’s, and prepare emails or summaries for specific actions; and/or (3) Utilizing Travel Systems to prepare and coordinate travel for senior leaders. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09). OR Education: Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Administration and Management Communications Planning and Evaluating Strategic Thinking Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-09).
