Job Description

Dynamic Motion Control (Chicago, IL) seeks an Application Developer to prototype, review, develop, and test applications and systems for client projects prototype, review, develop, and test applications and systems for client projects. Specific duties include: contribute code across the stack in a variety of languages including C#, Javascript, Python, SQL, HTML, and CSS (5%); develop and maintain Cloud, Web, Mobile, and Desktop applications using frameworks including .NET and React (5%); develop and maintain positive relationships with customers and vendors while responding to evolving needs and requests (5%); work with project teams to efficiently execute projects considering timeline and budget (5%); configure cloud infrastructure and deploy regular application updates using platforms like Azure or AWS (20%); design and implement modules and small Cloud, Web, Mobile, and Desktop applications independently using technologies like C#, React, and SQL (8%); lead technical execution and/or project organization for small teams (25%); define requirements, estimate, and propose new projects for existing clients based on evolving needs (7%); communicate with project managers and/or customers to set expectations on project requirements, budget & schedule (10%); contribute to team development by updating internal technical knowledge, interviewing candidates, and organizing team events (5%); help train new employees and review code from other developers to implement best practices (5%). Must take and pass pre-hire DMC coding test. Option to work remotely 50% of the time but required to travel to local office remaining 50% of the time.

 

Position requires a Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a closely related field of study, plus 3 years of experience in the job offered, or as a System Engineer, Undergraduate TA, Software Engineer, Data Engineering Intern, or similar software development position. Must have experience and/or university level coursework with each of the following object-oriented languages: C#, Javascript, CSS, C++, Python, Java, and HTML. Specific experience must also include: working with object-oriented programming techniques; working with database design and authoring SQL queries; and working with clients to manage large scale projects and ongoing project timelines and budgets. Must take and pass pre-hire DMC coding test. Option to work remotely 50% of the time but required to travel to local office remaining 50% of the time.
