Clinical Assessor - Mental Health (Hybrid Remote in Illinois)
  
Maximus is hiring a Clinical Assessor - Mental Health (Hybrid Remote in Illinois) to support the IL SALT program. The Clinical Assessor will conduct in-person SMHRF assessments to determine needs for services and support, in accordance with confidentiality and program requirements.

This position requires 85% travel throughout northern Cook County, IL. 

Program Specific Requirements/Preferences:
* Master’s Degree required
* Minimum 2 years work experience in mental health, social services or related field required
* Highly skilled using Microsoft office required
* Social worker, psychologist, or therapist background preferred
* Ability to provide close attention to detail required
* Knowledge of SMHRF Assessments preferred
* Must be able to work independently, managing tasks without supervision and getting them completed in a timely manner required
* Ability to travel on a daily basis to conduct in person assessments
* Attention to detail
* Flexibility - able to handle last minute schedule changes
* Independently managing tasks without supervision and getting them completed in a timely manner.

Home Office Requirements:
* Maximus provides company-issued computer equipment
* Reliable high-speed internet service
* Minimum 20 Mpbs download speeds/50 Mpbs for shared internet connectivity 
* Minimum 5 Mpbs upload speeds

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for completing medical and/or behavioral health assessments within contract requirements
- Conducts on-site, video call and/or telephonic assessments to determine an individual’s needs for services and supports, eligibility, level of care or related outcome
- Perform all job duties in compliance with Person First standards, HIPAA guidelines, and company confidentiality policies and procedures.
- Travel may be required based on program contract requirements
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- Preferred knowledge may include community support programs, long-term care assessment and level of care in medical, behavioral health or related programs 
- Knowledge and understanding of medical and/or behavioral health diagnoses and prescribed medications
- Ability to collect data, define problems, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions 
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite 
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work independently and meet timelines

Minimum Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
- Education and licensure requirements are based on program contract requirements and are outlined in job posting
- High School Degree or equivalent required
- Minimum 2 years of clinical experience required
- LPN, RN, LCSW, or related licensure may be required based on contract requirements
