Job Overview

Apply expertise to identify, organize, and establish effective management of collaborative initiatives through project identification and set-up, financial tracking and reporting, and execution of tasks directly impacting the operational and financial success of Operational Effectiveness Services (OES) and IQVIA’ return on investment. Ensures all work is in accordance with SOPs, policies, and practices. Sustain and improve the OES’s commitment to being the center for Operational productivity measurement, optimization, and efficiency through change and process improvement increasing value-add throughout the organization.

Essential Functions

+ Support ongoing characterization of investment portfolio utilizing latest taxonomy.

+ Evolve taxonomy to enable improved insights as per customer requests.

+ Enable portfolio and project level comparisons to drive better investment decisions.

+ Work with business units to gather needed data on a quarterly basis.

+ Define multi-tiered and risk-based review structure.

+ Support success definition and tracking using leading and lagging.

+ Work on business unit strategies -OKRs.

+ Design and support Sharktank.

+ Recommend strategic programs forming long-term business partnerships maximizing the creation of global solutions that will accelerate operational process/productivity improvements within IQVIA addressing data capture, project planning, change/data/process management, compilation, and high-quality deliverable generation.

+ Participate in strategic meetings and focus teams serving as OES advisor while gathering potential initiative insight for future OES engagement.

+ In conjunction with OES senior/executive management will determine initiative structure providing leadership regarding the scope and types of initiatives appropriate for OES involvement.

+ Finalize project budget and scope of work to meet financial and company goals (meet or exceed targets) proactively ensuring adherence to process and change control processes.

+ Determine OES initiative scope, timelines, and feasibility.

+ Evaluate and provide feedback regarding risks, quality, and overall probability of success minimizing negative impact on project objectives and deliverables.

+ Develop risk management plan including coordination of issue escalation and resolution as well as contingency plans to mitigate risks across initiatives.

+ Initiate or identify internal and external forums for OES representation presenting OES focus and past experiences.

+ Serve as knowledge and subject matter expert doe service area and contact for senior and executive management regarding OES initiatives.

+ Ensure initiatives are aligned with overall OES strategy ensuring alignment and incorporation with overall IQVIA’ strategy.

+ Identify and establish transparent, successful collaboration with internal and external stakeholders: OES, client and IQVIA.

+ Lead high level presentations to OES and executive management.

Qualifications

+ Bachelor’s degree in business, life sciences or related field required.

+ Minimum of 12 years of experience in relevant function (e.g. clinical operations, applied math, IT, data management, business, or laboratory), including a minimum of 5 years of relevant industry experience (CRO/pharmaceutical) including project management experience required.

+ Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience required.

+ Ability to travel up to 10%.

+ Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and other data capture, compilation, and presentation tools.

+ Good understanding of OES tools and processes.

+ Excellent written, interpersonal, and verbal communication skills.

+ Strong influencing, problem resolution, motivation, and negotiation skills.

+ Demonstrated ability to deliver results to the appropriate quality and time metrics.

+ Excellent leadership and customer service skills.

+ Ability to establish and maintain customer loyalty.

+ Excellent business and industry awareness staying current on trends and impact on the business.

+ Excellent presentation skills meeting the needs of all levels within the organization up to and including the executive management team.

+ Strong project leadership, staff management, and/or project planning skills.

+ Ideal candidate will reside within Central or Eastern time zone to best support global team.

The potential base pay range for this role, when annualized, is $134,300.00 – $228,400.00. The actual base pay offered may vary based on a number of factors including job-related qualifications such as knowledge, skills, education, and experience; location; and/or schedule (full or part-time). Dependent on the position offered, incentive plans, bonuses, and/or other forms of compensation may be offered, in addition to a range of health and welfare and/or other benefits.
