Job Summary:

The CTCT (Caterpillar Trimble Control Technologies) division (a joint venture between Trimble and Caterpillar) exists to create the industry standard grade control platform, enabling the development of positioning and control products for earthmoving, paving and compaction machines in the construction, mining, and landfill industries, using technologies such as GNSS, optical total stations, lasers and sonics. The System Engineering Manager / Team Lead is responsible for leading the global system engineering team in CTCT. The team lead fulfills the role of project and product manager for the System Engineering contribution to the overall system. This role also has responsibility to manage and supervise a team of System Engineers and work with the System Engineering Architect to ensure consistency, efficiency, and maintainability of the system. What You Will Do:

+ Direct supervision of a staff of 8 – 10 system engineers, including goal setting, performance management, and career planning

+ Provide technical guidance to team members and help remove roadblocks for them.

+ Leadership qualities, with the ability to work well with people with diverse skillsets, and motivate others to achieve team goals and objectives.

+ Strong oral and written communication skills, and ability to effectively coordinate the team’s efforts in the context of a global team.

+ Collaborating across geographically disperse CTCT sites to drive continuous improvements in development processes.

Education requirement:

+ Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related fields

The location for this position is Mossville, IL

Domestic relocation assistance is available for this position

This position will require less than 10% travel
