Job Description Summary

SRF Mechanical Technician II required to support SRF cavity processing, processing facility maintenance, ultra high vacuum system operation and maintenance, cleanroom infrastructure operation, and SRF component assembly.
Under general supervision and based on journeyman-level expertise, general experience, and/or academic study, provides moderately complex technical support for an area of assignment, typically an experimental or support group. Depending on the area of assignment, fabricates, sets-up, calibrates, operates, tests, repairs, and modifies a variety of moderately complex electrical-electronic and/or mechanical equipment, systems and devices.

Job Description
-3 year term position
-PFFA work in MP9 Cleanroom, CPL, SCSPF
- Operation of ultra high vacuum high temperature ovens and thin film coating chambers
- SRF device assembly in ISO Class 4 cleanroom environment
- Chemical (acids/bases) handling and SRF cavity processing
- Ultra high vacuum system operation and maintenance
-Work within scientific, engineering, and technical team on SRF research and development and production activities.

Education
High School diploma and 2 years of related experience
