Responsibilities:

+ Continuously monitor updates in labor laws and regulations to ensure organizational adherence and proactively act to mitigate HR-related legal risks.

+ Oversee the comprehensive payroll process, from inputting data and calculating figures to ensuring the precision of all payroll activities.

+ Handle updates and modifications in employees’ tax withholdings, bank account details for direct deposits, and paycheck deductions, ensuring accuracy and compliance.

+ Guarantee adherence to all levels of payroll regulations and tax legislation, staying informed of any changes at the local, state, and federal levels.

+ Work closely with the Human Resources department and other teams to address and rectify any payroll inconsistencies or concerns.

+ Compile and present detailed reports on payroll expenditures, tax obligations, and other pertinent financial statistics to the management.

+ Safeguard payroll documentation, maintaining the utmost confidentiality and security of all private data.

+ Keep current with modifications in payroll legislation and adjust processes accordingly.

+ Expertise in handling payroll for employees across different states, with a comprehensive understanding of various tax laws, compensation statutes, and reporting obligations.

+ Direct the management of employee benefits schemes, including medical insurance, pension plans, and additional perks, ensuring regulatory compliance and smooth operation with service providers.

+ Develop and uphold performance evaluation mechanisms, from setting objectives to conducting reviews and providing feedback.

+ Administer the HRIS, ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of employee information. Utilize data analytics for informed decision-making and strategic initiatives.

+ Address and resolve any payroll issues, responding effectively to employee queries regarding compensation.

+ Apply appropriate tax treatments for employer-sponsored benefits.

+ Aid in the preparation and verification of financial entries.

+ Generate and execute reports for reconciling benefits expenses and managing Health Savings Account allocations.

+ Facilitate the yearly benefits enrollment process, coordinating changes with providers, adjusting plan features, managing communications, and verifying the functionality of the enrollment platform.

+ Manage year-end procedures, including the preparation of annual reports and compliance filings.

+ Assist with the oversight of retirement plan offerings.

Requirements

Requirements:

- Strong experience in managing multi-state payroll processes, including knowledge of tax regulations, wage and hour laws, and reporting requirements.

- Experience administering employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other fringe benefits, across multiple states.

- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust at all levels of the organization.

- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and effectively.

- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

- Proficiency in HRIS and Microsoft Office applications; experience with HR software systems preferred.
