Job Summary:
As a Senior Data Specialist in the Global Marketing & Brand organization, you will have responsibility to provide marketing analysis and recommendations for Caterpillar’s Construction Industries organization by preparing monthly and quarterly business reviews, executing bespoke analysis and managing the marketing data lake supporting this work.
What You Will Do:
+ Applying data analytics to assess marketing data and make recommendations.
+ Analyzing customer requirements based on the understanding of conformed models and catering solutions that are implementable and maintainable.
+ Understanding data structures for marketing data and connections into other core enterprise data sets.
+ Ensuring the accuracy and effectiveness of data provided for the data warehouse.
+ Deriving necessary business or technical information from original data.
+ Acquiring large volumes of data from different sources/systems.
+ Analyzing customer requirements based on the understanding of conformed models and catering solutions that are implementable and maintainable.
+ Confirming deliverables associated with requirements analysis
+ Communicating with customers and users to elicit and gather client requirements.
+ Making oral presentations and writing reports needed for own work
What You Will Have:
+ Requirements Analysis: Knowledge of tools, methods, and techniques of requirement analysis; ability to elicit, analyze and record required business functionality and non-functionality requirements to ensure the success of a system or software development project.
+ Query and Database Access Tools: Knowledge of data management systems; ability to use, support and access facilities for searching, extracting and formatting data for further use.
+ Analytical Thinking: Knowledge of techniques and tools that promote effective analysis; ability to determine the root cause of organizational problems and create alternative solutions that resolve these problems.
+ Communicating Complex Concepts: Knowledge of effective presentation tools and techniques to ensure clear understanding; ability to use summarization and simplification techniques to explain complex technical concepts in simple, clear language appropriate to the audience.
+ ETL Process: Knowledge of the extraction, transformation and loading (ETL) process; ability to develop a database through the ETL process.
Consideration For Top Candidates:
+ Experience with Google Cloud Platform Products (Big Query)
+ Data Visualization (Tableau Preferred, Power BI acceptable)
+ Familiarity with A/B and multivariate testing
