Our esteemed client located in Hoffman Estates, IL is actively seeking a Cyber Security Administrator for a contract position. The ideal candidate should possess 3-5 years of relevant professional experience focusing on monitoring network traffic, addressing vulnerabilities, minimizing risks, and overseeing endpoint security. Desired qualifications include expertise in drafting security policies, crafting training materials on security protocols, and holding a CISSP certification.

Responsibilities:

1. Monitor network traffic to detect any anomalies and identify potential vulnerabilities.

2. Respond promptly to security breaches and other cybersecurity incidents.

3. Deploy and oversee endpoint security solutions while managing security applications.

4. Devise and execute strategies aimed at enhancing network security.

5. Develop and enforce security policies, protocols, and procedures.

6. Conduct training sessions and drills for staff on security practices.

7. Ensure adherence to current cybersecurity regulations and standards.

8. Assess and manage third-party security risks and vendor evaluations.

1. Must have at a minimum 3-5 years of experience in network security administration.

2. Proven experience with cybersecurity vulnerability testing and risk analyses.

3. Knowledge and experience in endpoint security and AWS/Azure are highly desirable.

4. Ability to create, refine, and update security policies and related training documents.

5. CISSP or relevant certification is highly preferred.

6. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.

7. Excellent communication and people skills.
