Description:
Power Electronics and Motors organization within Electrification focused on medium voltage – design control for traction motors, resistor grids, etc. This role will work with team lead to prioritize activities needed during different phases of engineering projects. This role will support several different areas, starting with traction motor and generator area. They will be doing design and releasing of drawings for these systems. This teams products are manufactured overseas and they need to communicate with CAT resources from all over the globe.
- CAD design and detailing
- Teardown follow-up and analysis
- Research and analyze customer design proposals, specifications, manuals to determine time and cost feasibility to complete projects.
- Investigate equipment failures and difficulties to diagnose faulty operation and make recommendation to maintenance crew.
- Assist drafters in developing the structural design of products using tools, equipment or software.
