Auditor - Global Accounting Compliance

Chicago, IL

JLL's Global Controllership team is seeking an Auditor - Global Accounting Compliance to help support leadership's vision for a best-in-class global internal controls strategy. In this position, you will contribute to the critical building blocks across people, processes and technology as it relates to global Sarbanes Oxley and SOC compliance. Key Responsibilities
Support SOX and SOC (SOC 1 & 2) engagements, including planning, scheduling, along with execution of procedures and related administrative functions.
Participate in end-to-end walkthroughs to confirm documented risks and controls, and identify potential control gaps.
Assist with designing effective business process and IT controls.
Evaluate the design and operating effectiveness of business process and IT controls.
Prepare high-quality and efficient documentation.
Identify opportunities to enhance control documentation and work papers (i.e. work with process owners to refine control language and associated risks, draft/update process flows, and test procedures, etc.).
Proactively engage key business stakeholders to collect information, resolve audit-related questions/issues, and communicate recommendations for control and process improvements.
Evaluate audit findings and coordinate timely remediation of deficiencies.
Maintain relationships with business stakeholders to increase collaboration and efficiency.
Assist in evaluating new processes, policies, and systems to determine relevance/impact to the SOX/SOC programs.
Develop knowledge of key business areas within the organization to become a subject matter expert.
Coordinate with external auditors to ensure efficient execution of SOC/SOX control programs.

Skills and Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field with 1-2 years of experience with focus on Sarbanes Oxley in publicly traded companies.
CPA and/or CIA a plus.
High degree of professional and personal standards, with unquestioned integrity and business ethics.
Self-starter who tackles every task with ambition.
Detail-oriented and deeply committed to delivering high-quality work.
Superior adaptability and ability to operate independently in a constantly changing environment.
Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with internal and external stakeholders.
Proficient in Excel and other Microsoft applications with ability to quickly learn JLL systems.
