Description:

Conduct internal & external audits within the frameworks of internal performance system and ISO standards to improve business processes.

Lead and coordinate product qualification plans including development of: PFMEA, Control Plans, Process Flow charts, Process Capability Studies, Gage R&R and other PPAP-related requirements.

Investigate process and product quality issues. Will work with department leads and suppliers to determine root cause and implement and verify corrective actions

Record customer complaints for the purposes of facilitating root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.

Drive improvement of quality Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) by identifying and solving problems affecting all aspects of the business, gathering, analyzing, and summarizing quality data, and supporting continual improvement of all functions in the supply chain.

Just got certified in AS9100, so they need help with the documentation

Quality team consists of 8 Technicians, 1 QM and 2 QE’s

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

3+ years as a QE ( experience coming from heavy manufacturing or machining i.e. CNC environment) NOT looking for someone coming from Food, Electronics or Packaging industry

Significant experience in Structured Problem Solving (8D or other) a plus

Strong written and oral communication skills; Experience in writing procedures and Customer calls.

Experience in reading & interpreting specifications and technical documents

Preferred Skills

Experience in CNC and or fabrication manufacturing environment

Strong Project Management Skills

Good understanding of lean/sigma tools

Previous experience in the metals industry and/or metallurgy knowledge.

BS in Manufacturing or Mechanical engineering a plus
