Job Description

Kranze Technology Solutions, Inc is currently seeing an Electrical Engineer Intern for the Summer of 2024. The intent is to focus on a single hardware design project, however the selected intern may also assist with other design / testing tasks as time allows. The project will involve a mix of research, design, and hands on testing.

Responsibilities:

+ Research and simulate solutions for protecting ~1 GHz signals from ESD & other voltage transients.

+ Assist with the design of multiple potential protection solutions.

+ Build prototypes and use test equipment to characterize the losses of each solution.

+ Utilize oscilloscopes and other test equipment to measure the actual transient protection capability of each solution.

+ Work effectively in a cross functional collaborative team environment with minimal supervision

Qualification and Skills:

+ College courses in support of a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field with one or more years of college experience (Sophomores, Juniors, Seniors)

+ Hands on experience using oscilloscopes and other test equipment.

+ Hands on experience soldering electrical components.

+ Experience with electrical circuit simulation (LTspice, etc…) and/or experience with Schematic capture / layout software (Altium, Allegro, KiCAD, etc…).

+ Well-rounded knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite of Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)

+ Strong analytical, problem solving skills
