Job Description
We have an outstanding career opportunity for aQuality Inspector to join a leading Company located in theChicago, IL . Need to work onsite in Chicago. Direct Hire opportunity.
Job Responsibilities:+ Inspect finished parts.
+ Perform first article.
+ Submit required certifications.
+ Conduct and visual inspection of a variety of metal parts to verify compliance to customer specifications using measurement tools.
+ Complete inspection reports and quality documents.
+ Prepare metallic parts for packing according to the customer’s package specifications.
+ Report to Quality Supervisor or Director of Quality if any discrepancy arises and follow procedures according to our Quality System ISO 9000 or AS9100.
+ Understanding of computer software such as Word and Excel are desirable.
Basic Hiring Criteria:+ Minimum of High School diploma or GED, and preferably 1 year of experience as a QC inspector, mechanical inspector, or equivalent.
+ Experience with programming CMM vision systems required. Needs to be able to write code to program the system as well as inspect functions.
+ Certified mechanical inspector preferable but not required.
+ Ability to decipher assembly drawings and fabrication drawings.
+ Ability to use inspection equipment such as calipers, micrometers, microscope, optical comparator, depth gauges, pin gages, video equipment and computer.
+ Ability to lift to 25 pounds.
+ Above average analytical and mathematical skills necessary.
+ Computer literate.
+ Good organization skills.
+ Detail oriented.
+ Must be able to pass eye examination.
+ Experience running CMM Vision system.
+ Experience programming CMM system.
+ Experience with Mitutoyo Vision systems.
