$16,000 with a 3 yr work commitment
Expected pay for this position is $37.99 - $49.72/hour. Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills and internal equity.
This position will be a shared position in the Hospital Outpatient Ultrasound Department for OBGYN in Peru and SEMC Peru Hospital Campus

POSITION SUMMARY: Performs and records two-dimensional ultrasound diagnostic examinations utilizing ultrasonic equipment in various modes and techniques to locate, evaluate and record pertinent anatomical, pathological, and functional patient data. Completes patient intakes via collection of medical history and answers patient questions regarding imaging procedures. Confers with providers on the results of imaging tests and collaborates to determine if additional images are required.
Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Education: N/A Experience: Completion of an accredited ultrasound program. 1 year of prior related work experience to be able to independently perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures, equipment operation, and to gain knowledge of patient care techniques. Licensure/ Certification: Registered as a Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) or Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) with the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or Registered as a Vascular Technologist with the Cardiovascular Credentialing Institute (CCI). Two specific certifications required (Abdomen - AB, Breast - BR, Fetal Echocardiography - FE, Obstetrics and Gynecology - OB/GYN, or Registered Vascular Technologist - RVT) to be determined by OSF Entity need. Based on specific OSF entity requirements must possess an additional or two (2) certifications. Specific certifications required (AB, BR, FE, RVT, OB/GYN, Nuchal Translucency or Nasal Bone) is determined by OSF entity need. Certifications must come from either ARDMS, CCI, NTQR, or the Fetal Medicine Foundation. Other skills/ knowledge: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software. Strong analytical and problem solving skills, with the ability to be detail oriented.
