Job Description

CDW Technologies LLC seeks a Senior Consultant - AEM Developer to perform the following duties:

• Provide advanced Digital and Data consulting solutions to clients including design, systems integration, and testing, with focus on building software solutions using Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) and related Adobe products that meet the business needs of clients.    
• Perform a variety of consulting activities in support of client objectives and solution development, including design and development of software applications, application administration and configuration, application integration, marketing technology consulting, user experience design, data engineering, database administration, and DevOps engineering, using advanced understanding of software development methodologies and tools.
• Provide advanced software testing, platform administration, user experience design, and database administration solutions for clients, creating technical, conceptual, and functional design and solutions that support client businesses.
• Apply advanced knowledge of AEM and understanding of the core AEM Sites and Assets stack and AEM architectural concepts to perform AEM implementations, administration, upgrades, and migrations.
• Lead code or other technical reviews and present constructive feedback to technical team.
• Participate in requirements gathering activities, examining the entire business application from the aspects of the workflow and the end user and integrating multiple user requirement areas into the overall requirements document.
• Use common Java design patterns and a knowledge of AEM best practices to create custom templates, components, workflows, and dialogs.
• Build focused relationships with clients to identify business challenges and provide recommendations to solve issues.
• Assist customers/clients in identifying, developing, and expressing an organizational strategy for accomplishing strategic technology goals.
• Maintain technical specifications throughout a project and document technical applications, specifications, and enhancements.
• Directly interact with clients, sales team, managers and other technical team members to identify, develop, and obtain complete information for solutions, and scope statement and level of effort for proposal/SOW development.
• Handle customer engagements requiring knowledge of multiple technologies.
• Contribute to and develop best practices, strategies, methodologies, and documentation/templates suitable for use by other Consultants and Analysts.
• Assist with Digital and/or Data practice presales activities.
• Provide technical perspective and technical sales support to ensure a realistic estimation of scope, cost, and level of effort for proposal generation.
• Review and understand all assigned Statement of Work (SOW) obligations prior to services delivery and maintain accountability to work estimates and project financials.
• Serve as a point of contact to the client for technical issues and status as needed.
• Mentor less senior personnel and serve as escalation point for their technical-related project issues.
• Develop custom code and interfaces to other application systems as defined by the technical specifications and document solution design and code.
• Work with a variety of other technologies and tools including Adobe Experience Manager, Java EE, Apache, Felix, OSGi, Apache Sling, Jackrabbit, RESTful services, JavaScript libraries (jQuery, ExtJS), HTML, CSS, JavaScript, AEM Multi Site Manager, AEM Communities, Adobe Campaign, Adobe Target and Adobe Analytics and deployment tools such as Eclipse, Maven, and Git, and Agile methodologies.

The job is based out of CDW’s Vernon Hills, IL headquarters but the employee may work remotely from anywhere in the U.S. Client-related national travel up to 25% also required.
