Job Opportunity: Industrial HVAC Mechanic - 1st Shift

Pay & Hours:

  • Hourly pay rate is determined by experience.
  • Eligible for up to 7% quarterly bonus pay.
  • 1st Shift schedule is Monday - Friday, 6am - 2:30pm with possible overtime.

Responsibilities:

  • Provides Facilities maintenance services training to all Maintenance department employees.
  • Provides Facilities annual budget and expense data to department Managers and achieves annual budget goals.
  • Coordinates and manages outside service contractors to achieve safety and cost targets, as well as regulatory requirements.
  • Performs minor repairs and maintenance to inside Fire Protection Sprinkler Systems and Smoke Detection Systems.
  • Performs Roofing Repairs and PMs to maintain waterproof roofing systems.
  • Performs PMs and Repairs for all HVAC Equipment, Building Heat and Cooling Fans, Air Compressors, Electrical Power Supply, Water Supply Systems, Sewer and Storm Drain Systems.
  • Repairs Facility Building Security doors, hardware, magnetic door locks, Shipping Dock related equipment, and all Plant Lighting.

Requirements:

  • Mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and other maintenance knowledge and skills necessary.
  • High level of demonstrated mechanical and electrical troubleshooting ability.
  • Efficient work planning and time management organizational skills.
  • Accurate use of Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) for input planning and documentation of work progress.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Initiative to proactively identify and recommend improvements, solve problems.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Operation of boom lifts and other certified lift equipment.
  • Accurate reading and math skills.

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 4 years of mechanical and/or electrical experience.
  • Prior experience coordinating and contracting with outside service vendors strongly preferred.
  • Relevant trade or technical school training preferred.

Communication:

  • Clear communication using a variety of media.
  • Proven experience in oral and written communication.
  • Experience working collaboratively with contractors and vendors.
