Job Description

At JLL, we are driving sustainability through everything that we do, across all service lines and job positions. Specifically, we are growing our Sustainability practice to drive end-to-end sustainability solutions in real estate, from site selection to decommissioning.

We are currently seeking a Sustainability Data Consultant with at least 2 years of experience with sustainability data and reporting that can support client engagements with our sustainability consulting pillar. Candidates should have experience with big data handling tools and analytics visualization tools and sustainability reporting experience (e.g. GHG inventories, carbon accounting, GHG protocol, GRESB, CDP, SEC requirements, etc.).

This position is remote based in the US.

What this job involves
Taking a client through the implementation journey of a data management platform, through well-crafted portfolio and asset/fund specific goals, actions plans, and bringing the portfolio data to life through engagement

Being able to sensitively challenge, through providing insights, future trends, and articulating the value of sustainability to businesses, with an understanding of future value creation

Building a strong working relationship with client teams through the provision of well presented, accurate and timely advice and deliverables

Project management of the delivery of a number of client projects or tasks, ensuring a professional relationship and the effective delivery services to time and budget

Oversight of team members in the development and delivery of programs and projects

Business development of team services, growing the offering and client base

Contribute to information and knowledge management systems, and the creation of thought leadership pieces, to enhance client offerings, and ensure the team remain at the forefront of emerging thinking

Support the professional development of junior colleagues, including line management opportunities.

Interested?An ideal candidate would need to have the following qualifications

Desired experience and technical skills
Minimum of 2 years experience with sustainability data and reporting

Experience with big data handling tools and analytics visualization tools like SQL, Python, Tableau, Power BI

Sustainability reporting experience: GHG inventories, carbon accounting, GHG protocol, GRESB, CDP, SEC requirements

Proven energy and sustainability program management and client relationship skills, with ability to translate and communicate technical and complex concepts in clear and concise language and media

Experience working with commercial real estate, engaging with and obtaining buy-in from key stakeholder groups, e.g. Fund, Asset, Property and Managers

Experience determining the value proposition of projects and services, justifying implementation through relevant assessment of benefits e.g. energy, resilience, obsolescence

Experience handling and interpreting large data sets and contextualizing energy and sustainability performance data, strong excel skills

Personable character with an ability to foster good working relationships and good experience of leading individuals or small teams

Relevant education or professional experience, e.g. Energy Management, Project and/or Program Management, Sustainable Real Estate
