Duties and Responsibilities 
 DNA sequencing library preparation (transcriptomics, DNA sequencing, miRNA, microbiome)
DNA sequencing, robotic workflow development, rtPCR assays for pathogen detection
Direct incorporation of new protocols, methodologies and systems as needed
User report generation, quarterly and annual report generation, core invoicing, and billing process
Maintain laboratory consumables, instrumentation and equipment.
Collaborate with other core facilities.
Meet turnaround deadlines.
Assure efficient and effective facility operations, availability of required resources, and proper prioritization of projects.
Interact with users, particularly helping them to develop appropriate strategies to guide their research.
Performs related duties as assigned.
Minimum Education and/or Work Experience 
 Minimum Education: 
-Required: Bachelors Degree Specify Degree(s): Molecular Biology, Biology, Biochemistry or Chemistry

 

Minimum Experience: 
-Required: 3-5 years of previous molecular biology-related experience. A combination of education and experience may be considered.

 Preferred Qualifications

Experience working with DNA and RNA; Experience in molecular biology bench techniques; Experience in collaborative studies; Self driven and works well in an interdisciplinary team with minimal direction; Excellent communication skills and meticulous attention to detail; thrives in a fast paced environment; strong desire to be a part of a translational team that will generate groundbreaking research; Self-driven and works well in an interdisciplinary team with minimal direction.

Qualifications
Degree in related field and/or three-five years of molecular biology bench experience
