Math Instructional Coordinator (Chicago, IL)

Improve mathematics instruction, curriculum development, and student performance; collaborate with teachers, administrators, and educational staff to ensure that the math programs are engaging, challenging, and effective; ensure alignment with state standards and best practices in mathematics education; collaborate with teachers to enhance math instruction; observe classrooms, provide constructive feedback, and support teachers in implementing effective teaching strategies; research and recommend instructional materials, textbooks, and digital resources to support math instruction, exhibiting leadership in resource selection; demonstrate strong leadership in design, development, and implementing instructional excellence in delivery of math education programs; organize and facilitate professional development sessions to enhance math instruction techniques among teaching staff; collect and analyze student performance data to identify trends, areas of improvement, and opportunities for intervention, using data-driven leadership to inform decision-making; foster positive relationships with parents and the community to promote math education and involvement in student learning, demonstrating leadership in community outreach; participate in subject related workshops, committees, and conferences; coordinate math teaching, research, extension education, and student retention efforts; review and analyze reports, records, and other findings to examine math curriculum and instruction programs.

Master’s degree in mathematics education, education, or mathematics, 24 months of full-time experience in the job or teaching math, and an Illinois State professional educator license in math required. $49,067 per year.
