Duties and Responsibilities 
 The Department of Management and the Sport Management program in the Quinlan School of Business at Loyola University Chicago invites candidates to apply for a full-time, non-tenure track faculty position in the Sport Management (SPRT) area, beginning in the Fall of 2024. This position has an initial one-year appointment and renewal is based on teaching needs. Previous teaching experience in a University setting, along with sport business experience, preferably in the Chicago metropolitan area, are highly desired.

The successful candidate will teach a variety of undergraduate courses in the Sport Management program under the mentorship of experienced faculty who oversee the curriculum. Administrative responsibilities include participation in faculty discussions to develop and maintain an appropriate curriculum for the Sport Management program while advising the Sport Management Club. In addition to teaching and administrative responsibilities, the successful candidate will also build relationships with the business community in the Chicago area to support SPRT Internship and Mentorship projects.

Specific course assignments might include; the Business of Sports, Fundamentals of Sport Finance, Sports Facility Management and Operations, Globalization of the Sport Industry, Social Aspects of Sport Management, Fundamentals of Sport Marketing, Legal Aspects of Sport Management, Sport Media and Sport Analytics. Qualifications 
 An earned master's degree in sport business administration, management, and sport management, or a closely related field is highly desirable; leadership experience in sport business and industry; and teaching experience. A terminal degree (e.g., JD, PhD, DBA or ABD status with completion within a year) is highly desirable. Qualified candidates must demonstrate a strong understanding of and commitment to the mission of the University. Of special interest are candidates who can further the University's efforts to foster diversity, equity, and inclusion.


Salarywill be competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience. Summer school employment is available based on program needs and other personnel considerations.
