*Provide biostatistical support on grant applications
*Works in close collaboration with faculty in the Health Sciences Division to develop predictive and prescriptive models from large, heterogeneous data sets, using statistical, machine learning, and other advanced data science methods
*Performs data exploration of large data sets for hypothesis generation and knowledge discovery
*Supports applications for external funding, in particular, developing and writing data science methodology in grant proposals
*Develops algorithms and software for health care analytics
*Provides data science lectures and workshops for the Health Sciences Division
Qualifications 
 Minimum education or experience
*Education: Doctorate in Data Science or related field
*Experience 
Required: 
3-5 years of experience as a biostatistician, data scientist
Past experience as co-investigator on federally (NIH) funded projects
Preferred: 
6-10 years of experience as a data scientist

Minimum Education and/or Work Experience 
 The Center for Health Outcomes and Informatics Research (CHOIR) at Loyola University Chicago is seeking a full-time Research Assistant Professor (non-tenure track faculty position) to support biomedical research across the Health Sciences Division. The successful candidate will work closely with Dr. Francois Modave, director of CHOIR, and HSD faculty, and staff to provide biostatistical support on grants, research projects, and sprint projects with our clinical partners.

*Provide biostatistical support on grant applications
*Works in close collaboration with faculty in the Health Sciences Division to develop predictive and prescriptive models from large, heterogeneous data sets, using statistical, machine learning, and other advanced data science methods

Minimum education or experience

Computer Skills:
*Proficiency with statistical packages such as SAS or R 
*Proficiency with a high-level programming language such as Python, Java, etc. preferred
*Proficiency with modern data science tools such as Tensorflow, Keras, etc. preferred
Qualifications:
*Excellent written and verbal communication skills
*Ability to work well in multidisciplinary teams
*High attention to detail, maintaining accuracy and consistency
*Ability to plan, coordinate, and prioritize multiple tasks and projects
