About the Position: The incumbent will provide SDDC G4 with objective information for managing logistics maintenance actions, assisting in procurement, and overseeing command requirements. Supports subordinates in these tasks. Responsibilities Direct SDDC maintenance management policy and procedures. Represent the staff level function at component meetings and conferences to address logistics management planning and problem resolution. Provides logistical staff direction command wide for the supply management and equipment fielding program. Conducts on site visits to subordinate activities for command logistics inspections, command logistics reviews and equipment to evaluate the effectiveness and adequacy of operations. Collect, analyze, and evaluate maintenance data for SDDC G4 Logistics Division requirements and procurements. Provide oversight for HQ SDDC execution of equipment policies and procedures. Perform supervisory duties, including planning work schedules and evaluating employee performance. Develop and execute corrective action plans for departmental weaknesses. To Qualify for the GS-13: Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: (1) Analyzing procedures to implement equipment management, supply management, and/or equipment maintenance policies and procedures (2) Recommending various methods and techniques to resolve logistical and supply problems and (3) Developing policies, regulations and/or procedures for cost reduction initiatives to enhance the effectiveness of activity operation. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone—no substitution of education for experience is permitted. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Communications Planning and Evaluating Technical Competence GS-13 Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12).
