We have a great opportunity for a Senior Tax Accountant who will report directly to our Senior Director, Corporate Tax. In this position you will have an opportunity to learn and grow your career. You will work with others in our Tax Department and have exposure to other areas within our Tax and Finance departments.
Objective: Under direct supervision, responsible for supporting the team in execution of tax processes, in accordance with current legislation and within pre-established deadlines. Maintains tax information and records; prepares federal, state and local tax returns, tax work papers, and other required reports; assists in the preparation of tax provision and footnotes; assists in Workday implementation for tax processes and tax provision software implementation.
Responsibilities include:
+ Prepares federal returns and quarterly provisions, including tax footnotes and tax depreciation rollforward;
+ Prepares state income tax returns, estimated/extension payments, quarterly accrual and account reconciliation.
+ Prepares sales/use returns; performs monthly analysis and reconciliation of sales/use tax accounts.
+ Assists in Workday implantation for tax processes and tax provision software implementation.
+ Conducts tax research and recommends appropriate tax treatment; assists with federal and state audits and notices.
+ Assists in other duties assigned, including withholding and information reporting, premium tax returns and payments, etc.
Qualifications:
+ A minimum of two years of public tax experience or 4 years working in the tax department of a corporation (or a combination) is required in the areas of federal and state tax compliance and an understanding of tax depreciation.
+ Experience with accounting general ledger (Workday), financial reporting tools and tax compliance software (OneSource) a plus.
+ Bachelor’s Degree in Tax/Accounting/Finance is required.
+ Must be proficient in Excel.
+ Prior experience working in a multi-state mid-to-large corporation preferred.
+ Working toward a CPA designation preferred.
+ Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and multiple-task prioritization within exacting time constraints.
+ Have the motivation and initiative to learn and accept new challenges.
+ Demonstrates high degree of professionalism in communication, attitude and teamwork with customers, peers and management.
