Job Description
Description:
+ Perform Receiving and In-Process inspections using basic quality hand tools and the Optical Comparator machine (Keyence); ability to use a CMM (Zeiss or Mitutoyo) is a plus.
+ Document inspection results per first article inspection (FAI) format.
+ Collaborate with Engineering to disposition FAIs where dimensions have failed or nonconformances (NCs) were identified.
+ Review the NC/Inspection areas throughout the day to ensure product that requires inspection or NC investigation is being processed and to ensure product status is correctly identified.
+ Coordinate the logistics of processing parts physically and in the inventory (ERP) system per the FAI disposition.
+ Verify that operator required inspections for products being made are being performed per the Prolink inspection Checksheets at each workstation throughout the week. Work with QA team to identify/make Prolink inspection checksheet improvements as needed.
+ Perform and document hand tool and fixture gage calibrations
+ Troubleshoot/Perform root cause analysis on reported manufactured and customer issues
+ Hold weekly status meetings regarding open internal and customer NC issues.
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
+ 3+ years of inspection related experience
+ Problem solving / root cause analysis skills
+ Blue print reading experience, including GD&T knowledge
+ Proficient in using basic hand tools, and an optical comparator
+ Zeiss CMM Calypso programming abilities (a plus)
+ Keyence IM-7000/IM-8000 Optical Comparator use and programming abilities (a plus)
+ Prolink (SPC software) knowledge (a plus)
+ Microsoft Office Suite skills (MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
