The Web Content Manager reports to University Marketing and Communication's Director of Digital Strategy and is responsible for developing and implementing strategies to enhance the user experience on Loyola's Stritch School of Medicine websites, ensuring content aligns with user needs and school goals.
This role collaborates with the Digital design/development teams, Stritch Marketing Communications lead, and faculty and staff to ensure content is accurate, timely, and aligned with overall brand and strategic messaging. The manager will analyze user behavior and feedback to inform content decisions, support editorial calendars, and oversee content audits for continuous improvement.
Key success measures include improved user engagement, alignment of web content with strategic objectives, enhanced website performance metrics, and effective content lifecycle management. This role requires experience in web content management, a strong understanding of user experience principles, and excellent communication, analytical, and project management skills. While content creation is not a responsibility within this role, the manager is expected to have a deep understanding of best practices in content strategy, a keen editor's eye, and strong writing skills.
Because this position is part of Loyola's University Marketing and Communication central digital team in support of the Stritch School of Medicine, the manager will spend at least one day per week at Loyola's Water Tower campus and at least two days per week at Loyola's Maywood campus. Hybrid work modality in addition to these in-person requirements is an option.
Responsibilities
Strategic Content Management: In coordination with key stakeholders, implement comprehensive web content strategies that enhance user experience and align with Stritch goals. This includes understanding and communicating user needs, preferences, and behaviors in support of creating a best-in-class digital experience. It also requires building and maintaining a strong understanding of Stritch to provide guidance and support to its various departments and stakeholders.
