Position Overview
The 1st VP Loan Administration is responsible for overseeing all functions and processes within the Loan Operations department (includes commercial and consumer loans). Essential responsibilities include managing to meet internal service standards, maintaining compliance and internal policies as well as regulatory requirements. This position is responsible to create, maintain and monitor all Key Performance Indicators for the loan units and ensure metrics are adhered to on a regular basis. Responsible to set the tone for the department from a culture perspective and provide best in class service to all areas of the Bank while maintain the highest level of ethical standards.
The 1st VP Loan Administration reports directly to the SVP, Director of Operations and interacts regularly with direct & indirect reports within Loan Operations, other Bank operations managers, Commercial and Consumer Banking leaders, and the senior leadership team.
Essential Job Functions
Manages all verticals within Loan Operations responsible for accurate and efficient preparation of all loan documentation, boarding and servicing of all loan types and products as supported by the core system, timely review of loans and reconciliations performed in accordance with established internal controls.
Oversees the data integrity of loan input related to CRA, HMDA, critical data fields, flood monitoring, tax and insurance escrows, collateral tracking, and document exceptions.
Ensures that all necessary disclosures and notifications are delivered to the customer as mandated by regulation throughout the servicing of the loan.
Prepares and communicates analysis of loans pledged to the Federal Home Loan Bank with documentation exceptions as to ensure the accuracy of the Bank's pledge reporting as managed by the Treasury area.
Achieves satisfactory or better results in any loan review, audit or exam as it relates to the Loan Operations functions.
Maintains department standards throughout periods of high loan volume while meeting and exceeding deadline goals.
Educates department on the importance of internal controls and the adherence to such controls on a regular basis.
Establishes and continually improves written procedures in order to maximize efficiency and accuracy in all areas of the department.
Develops, maintains and reports on the departmental KPIs to ensure quality service is provided to all lines of business.
Oversees all loan related conversions, new products, enhancements and system related changes.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor's degree and 10 or more years of Loan Operations experience including the oversight of loan documentation, collateral, servicing and loan accounting functions; and prior management experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

MBA
5+ years of proven management success
