Job Description Summary

 

The SVP CFO, First Insurance Funding & Wintrust Life is a senior member of the Premium Finance business leadership team and has responsibility for overseeing all finance activities including financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting, business planning, strategic analytics, and oversight of key systems and operational processes. Leader is expected to drive efficiency and partner with business stakeholders to implement actionable deliverables and strategies that drive growth, profitability, and efficiencies while maintaining strong financial controls. The role represents the go-to resource for Premium Finance financial matters company-wide and the key liaison between the Premium Finance businesses and management/key stakeholders at Wintrust Corporate.

 

What Youll Do

  • Responsible for approving forecast and budget in close connection with business line CEOs, WTFC CFO, and Corporate FP&A
  • Assesses the make-up of the support organization and look to gain efficiencies in support of common processes, such as reporting, data, systems
  • Maintains close connection to the accounting department and assists in overseeing and approving certain critical processes. Partners with accounting policies on ensuring compliance with SOX controls and oversight of more complex accounting processes.
  • Develops and grows a high performing team and promotes mastery of the business, efficiency, best practices, and Finance department core competencies
  • Supports the relevant line of business by partnering in incentive compensation related processes, including sales commissions and operational incentive plans
